About Us
The Perrysburg Visitors and Convention Bureau, Inc. was founded in March of 1997 to “promote tourism and convention business in Perrysburg and its immediate vicinity” which in turn provides a higher quality of life for our residents, a stronger economic development foothold, and supports high quality schools, retail, medical care, dining, and free events in our community. A 501c6 private corporation funded by the Bed Tax collected through Perrysburg hotels, the CVB adopted a 2-word alias in 2022 to best encapsulate our mission – VISIT PERRYSBURG!
Embracing the DMO (destination marketing organization) concept, we promote our unique story and provide marketing support through paid advertisements, brochures and digital media, as well as organize motor coach tour experiences that showcase our town, all while driving awareness and reinvesting tourism revenue back into our community. Our updated mission is “promoting the city of Perrysburg through marketing efforts as an ideal destination for leisure, group, and business travelers”.
Governed by a 9-person Board of Trustees, the Executive Director and support staff manage the promotional direction of the CVB through expos, conferences, and conventions, supporting our hotels and unique attractions in our area, managing the Visit Perrysburg Market Days (formerly known as Farmers Market), Lettuce Turnip the Beet (Music at the Market), and the Total Eclipse of the Burg (2024), the 3-day all-arts festival Perrysburg Hearts the Arts, collaborate on community parades and events with partnerships alongside Downtown Perrysburg Inc, O-Deer Diner, the Perrysburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Perrysburg Schools Alumni Association, and by launching the Perrysburg Sculpture Walk (years 1 & 2) and promoting year 3 at Woodlands Park, as well as funding in part the Against the Wind public art exhibit at Riverside Park, and by networking with regional industry leaders to promote Perrysburg and Northwest Ohio as a tourism destination AND as a safe, affordable place to call home.
We are always looking for volunteers to assist in our events calendar, assembling goody bags for group tours and hotel conferences, and if you have time to spare, contact us to volunteer and make a difference!
Come for a visit – Perrysburg is where history lives and adventures await!
